Pre-Chinese New Year

Hello readers! With Chinese new year arriving next week, i managed to have some time beforehand to touch up my eyebrow, did my eyelash extension and went to JB with Jieying to get our nails and hair done!
It is so convenient taking the train to go in so we went in on Sunday.
However it's not easy to buy them, usually have to purchase them at least a month in advance.
Did my nails but feel kinda disappointed cos it's not as nice as i imagined it to be.
Food alert below!
It is so convenient that they sell the hakka abacus seed in supermarket, so my mum cook the other ingredients and its so good!
 My mum's cooking skills.

Shall end for now.

Happy Birthday to Jeremy, foodie post

Hello readers! Just a short post on sharing all the foods i had digested by the time i post it here. Haha so when we was returning from thailand earlier this week, Jeremy wanted to try Paris baguette when we was leaving the airport, but he find one slice of cake to be pretty expensive.

He is funny at times he is willing to splurge on me but when it comes to himself, he think twice.
So his birthday falls on this month and i went to buy this Paris baguette cake!

I wanted to give him a surprise by bringing this cake to him when the clock strikes 12. So i was taking it out and was preparing the candles and was about to bring it over when its 12 and he suddenly entered the kitchen!

So the surprise was ruined, hahaha cos he saw it already. I remember asking why he come out because we had lights off in our room already and he don't usually come out one.
Anyway, happy birthday my love! He hit the big 3, turning 30 year old this year.

We didn't have any proper celebration outside as he was busy with his work.
Showing a series of food photos in this post, having dinner with my colleagues after work!

Homecooked food by my mum. Check out duffy choosing her spot. Haha

Yet another homecooked food.

shall end this post for now.
Till then.

Khao Yai Bound for Bangkok, Lemontea Hotel, Platinum Mall

Hello readers! So after we checked out from Botanica Khao Yai in the morning, our driver brought us back to Bangkok, there were heavy traffic jam so by the time we arrived in Bangkok, it was around 1.30pm. Feels good to be back in bangkok as we have the freedom of walking around because we are familiar in the area already.

We had to returned to Klub hotel to collect the wallet, so we checked in first.
First time trying Lemontea hotel because many reviews mentioned lots of Singaporean love to stay here.

It's a nice hotel with nice backdrop for you to take photos, its a decent room but i probably won't return again as it's not my preference.

Very basic and simple room.
But what got me frustrated was, we were only issue one keycard, and that means we can't leave the aircon on if we leave the room, as they have laundry services so we did our laundry on the last night, but each time you need to have both going down because there is only one key card.

After my complain in instagram stories, some of my friends tell me they find it ok leh and i can request additional keycard from the hotel. We didn't thought of it, i just thought it's plain stupid to issue just 1 card if you already make it this way such that none should stay in the room if one will to leave the room.

Isn't it common sense to give more than 1, but i do realise that we can ask, but it's too late cos we were checking out the next day. The sound proofing is not too good too so i won't be staying here anymore.

After we settled down, we went to Pantip plaza wanting to buy a cake to give to the hotel staff before we go back to collect Jeremy wallet, but the cake sold was xmas cake and god knows how long they put there already. Jeremy suggested donuts, so we get them donuts instead!
We were thankful to the staff that report the wallet found in the room to their management that prevent us having our holiday mood ruined for this trip. I would strongly recommend Klub hotel if you are looking to stay in Pratunam area. The price is cheaper than lemontea hotel but its more newer. Their lobby is bigger too. You may refer to my 31 Dec 18 post for the Klub hotel photos.

While looking for the cake, we was surprised to chance upon my 5th uncle at bangkok. I was engrossed checking out the cakes that i thought someone is calling me, which is impossible since we was at Bangkok. But it was such coincidence! We chatted for awhile before we went to buy the donuts and retrieve the wallet at Klub hotel.
I wanted to go Yunomori onsen but we didn't have much time left so we decided to eat at the neon night market and shop around at Platinum mall.
The loots for this trip this time, i didn't bought much this time.

 Our dinner!

We checked out early the next day as we are taking a 12pm flight. So we need to be at the airport by 10am. Anyway i enjoy our trip and yes i will be back soon bangkok!

Shall end for now.
Till then!

Khao Yai - Chocolate Factory, Birder's Lodge Cafe, The Bloom, PB Valley, Pak Chong Night market, Botanica Khao Yai

Hello readers! This will be our third day in Khao yai, also the last night before we will returned to Bangkok the next day.

Today itinerary : Chocolate Factory, Lunch @ Birder's lodge cafe, The Bloom, PB Valley, Pak Chong Night market.
Accommodation of the night : Botanica Khao Yai

I plan to visit chocolate factory the last day of our khao yai trip because the items sold usually can't keep for too long so visiting it last day will ensure the foods we buy will still last longer when we returned back to Singapore.

As the name suggest, chocolate factory, they sell a variety of chocolates, biscuits, cookies and their best seller biscuit is so addictive! We bought quite alot to give to our friends and bought the bite size pieces to eat.

I choose all the different flavour chocolate for this, and every single one is so good!
This chocolate cake is the bomb too, its rich chocolate will melt in your mouth.
So so good!

After eating a chocolate cake at the chocolate factory and buying what we want, we went to birder's lodge cafe for our lunch.

The cafe itself has many instagrammable places to take so it get crowded.

After that, as we skipped Scenical world, so the driver suggested going The Bloom.
However, i feel if you have visited Saraburi sunflower,or Jim thompson farm you can skip visiting this place because if you have checked out the two places, this place has nothing much.

There were nothing much inside, we bought the tickets with foods and drinks provided and it was a small tour within the area.

The cakes were not very nice, drinks were too sweet.

We didn't stayed long before we went to PB Valley! As we were walking in, I was excited to check out this rocking horse.

We had fun playing when we heard the ringing of bell and started seeing many of the visitors getting on the shuttle ride so we went to check it out, and i think we were lucky because it was their last tour of PB valley of the day and we went to the ticketing booth and they allowed us to purchase the tickets, so we were the last to board before each shuttle bus move off one by one.
The ticket included wine tasting.
They started the tour by introducing us the equipment they use to store beer etc, but obviously i think manay were interested in the wine tasting. Hahahaha

After the introduction and understanding the beer fermentation process and so on, we were directed to the place where they offered wine tasting pairing with cheese and biscuit!

We were allowed to try 4 different type of wines, however as Jeremy and I don't really drink so we didn't purchase their wine.

Enjoying the breeze as we sit on the bus ready to go back.

After the tour, we left PB valley and headed to Pak chong night market, the day was still bright when we leave but the journey to the night market seems long because it was dark by the time we reached. Hahaha. We decided to buy back because they have no sitting area at the night market. Usually the locals visit to buy foods for their dinner and i thought it was a good experience especially its so cheap!

After that, the driver dropped us at our accommodation for the night, which is the Botanica Khao Yai.
It was dark already and we regretting not coming in early because it was so much nicer than my ozone! In fact, actually i wanted to book this 2 nights but they were fully booked so i could only book for 1 night. The staff bring us to their carpark to take their buggy to our block.

The atmosphere was good after we take a stroll around the hotel.

We were so glad with our room when we enter, it was so big! Hahaha and this is only their smallest room out of the other room type.

They have a big balcony outside.

I love their bathroom too! The size is awesome!

There is another door that you can open that leads you to the balcony.
At the balcony area, they have this bathtub too!

Part of the foods that we brought back, haha the pork sausage is good!

Anyway after the nightmare of staying in ozone, this hotel stay is so much better. Haha it's a pity we only stay for a night.

The view from our room the next morning! Nice refreshing breeze.

Their breakfast was good too! We had our breakfast before checking out their gym, pool etc.

Shall end this post for now.
Till then!
