Surprise Pregnancy - We are having baby No. 2!

 Hello readers! Today's post is the day i found out i am pregnant AGAIN..!

I swear this was the most wtf moment because we do have plans to have 2 kids eventually however we didn't try to have this 2nd baby and it just occur naturally. So my menses has been pretty regular except after birth i feel my menses cycle has become longer so i thought it was pretty normal to have my menses late. However when i realise i have not been having my menses for almost 2month, i thought something must have happened to me, but i was afraid to get it tested for fear something is wrong with my body.

When i told Jeremy and other close friends, they was telling me maybe i should get a pregnancy kit to test, but my first reaction was, impossible la, because we have been taking safety precautions except the time when we were planning for our first baby. So it is impossible i will get pregnant. So i was dragging everyday when Jeremy decide to buy the pregnancy kits for me and he do the test for me. When he told me it's two line, i just cannot believe it!

I thought he was bluffing me when i took over the kit from him and it was indeed 2 line. WHAT THEEEE! He bought 1 cheap one and 1 exp one, so i told him maybe the cheap one is faulty and because it was already very late when i decide to test so i told him maybe we try one more in the morning which could be more accurate.

I was definitely not prepared to have our second one because the first one has not even turned one year old! So the next morning, i use the clearblue kit which is the expensive one but it could also accurately tell you roughly how many weeks you are currently pregnant.

Guess what? the result say i am pregnant and same as the last time when i was procrastinating to do the test kit when i was having kai, i was already more than 3 weeks pregnant.

Look at kai sian look when he know he is going to have a younger sibling, which is so fast!!

Unlike the first pregnancy, this time round i am still eating my raw foods! I was still trying to absorb the fact that i was pregnant even with safety precautions! So condoms is really not 100% safe. 

Only some of my close friends know when i am pregnant again for the second time, this means that the age gap between Kai and his younger sibling is only 1.5year old apart. We got to know that i am pregnant again for the second time by end jul but i choose to reveal the pregnancy news after Kai 1st birthday as i didn't want to steal his limelight on his first party. 

To think that early this year when i went back for my final gynae review, the nurse was still telling me like 'see me in 3 years time' but it took only 3 to 5months time for me to see them again for the second pregnancy. Hahaha

I went back to the same gynae as i only trust him to do the c sec operation for me, my gynae is Dr Benjamin Tham and it was a painless experience and i recover very fast too so definitely going to him again for the second pregnancy which i hope pretty much remains the same!

When i went for the first scan, it was already 9 weeks, and baby already have heartbeat!

We went for the usual first trimester ultrasound scan etc and did the blood test, i was hoping that it would be a girl, but test result shown it was a boy again. I was kinda disappointed but as long as the baby is healthy, nothing matters more. And note to self, two is enough, we are definitely not going for the third one. I think i am pretty much traumatised after this incident that i was asking Jeremy to consider going for ligation surgery so there won't be any more accidents.

I was surprised we manage to get a 3D scan of the baby, it was still forming.

So the EDD is around end Mar 2022 so for the past 2 year i was pretty lucky we get to work from home because this means both my pregnancy, i have the privilege to work from home and don't have to squeeze with other to take public transport to and fro from work. I am extremely blessed. Haha.

Meanwhile showing a few shots of Kai when i wanted him to be part of the photos taking for the pregnancy announcement but he wasn't too cooperative. Haha

I shall update again when the baby is out.

Sofitel Singapore Sentosa Staycation

Hello readers! Usually the month of Jul means many activities lined up for my birthday celebration and this includes a birthday staycation since we can't travel overseas.

Otherwise i would make it a point to travel during my birthday month and i love beach holidays the most. Guess we can only wait till the Covid situation stabilized and everyone can start to travel normally again.

The hotel that we decided to go for the staycation this time round is Sofitel Singapore Sentosa!

As i love beach holiday so i wanted to find something similar like going to the resort overseas so we decide to go for sofitel singapore sentosa. Even though i think the resort experience is still different. haha

This was the drop off point at the hotel lobby, carpark is complimentary for Sofitel Sentosa.

We went to check in and check out our room for the night!

There's a bathtub so i will get my bathtub soak time at night! 

For this trip, we didn't bring kai along so it's our couple time haha.

As the package that Jeremy book via klook include lunch, dinner and next day breakfast, so upon check in, we went to the restaurant to have our lunch. There was not much people at all.

After our lunch, we went back to our room to rest before heading out to vivo city for some shopping and returning back to the hotel for our dinner in the evening.

And birthday flowers from Jeremy! which i later use it for my soak time in the bathtub. Haha

By evening, we went to had our dinner at one of their another restaurant within Sofitel. it was a 3 course meal, appetiser, main and dessert with free flow of drinks.

There were many people sitting outdoor instead of indoor except for us, so it looks like we booked the whole restaurant instead. haha

After our dinner, we thought of checking out the different beach in sentosa. But some of the beach were closed.  Pretty much like a ghost town without any people in sight.

We went back early to rest and my bathtub time!

Next day morning, i was pretty surprised it was a buffet style breakfast, even though there were some stations that the chef will pick up the item for u, but there were other counter which you can help yourselves freely to the food.

Overall, it was still an enjoyable stay though i would prefer to celebrate overseas next time! Hahaha.
