Holey Moley - Birthday celebration with my friends

Hello readers! Tons of foods photos in this post because it's my post birthday celebration!
A big thank you to all friends who has put in effort to celebrate my birthday! I turned 28 years old this year, omg so old already.

One of my birthday celebration venue were at the Holey Moley! They have 1 for 1 ladies night on wednesday so i meet up with my bff Michelle for some catching up session.
In case you didn't know, Holey Moley is a cocktail bar, restaurant located in Clarke Quay.
The main highlight of this place should be their indoor golf course that anyone can have fun while hanging out at the place itself.

Since we went on a wednesday, ladies night, there was a promotion, we could have a free game of the indoor golf course and 1 for 1 for all foods & drink after 8pm.

Previously, i went for a similar concept, it was named as the Liliputt indoor golf course that used to be situated at East Coast park, it catered more for kids but it has closed for operations few years back then. So, i thought this was pretty cool with this new set up 'Holey Moley' because this indoor golf course has similar concept but provide foods & drinks for adults that wish to hang out at a bar at the same time.

So we get to twist our color of golf ball with a token issued to us, i got a gold ball! Lucky me. Haha
Basically, there are total 9 holes for us to have a go, so we can go around the different holes to try the different theme of the golf course.

The last two golf holes are the glow in the dark illumination theme. So this was the last round before you will complete the entire golf course.

I was completely caught off surprise when i was chatting with Michelle until i saw the staff came over and hand over the birthday cake! Hahaha, didnt expect Michelle to buy a cake and i even receive a birthday gift from her! Thank you!

JY&JJ are one of my first few guests that get to visit my house before my official housewarming party.

So i ordered pizza for our dinner and they came to chill at my place.
The second time they came was to celebrate my birthday!
The only rare moment when i cooked something instead of ordering takeaways.

Shall end this post for now.
Till then!

Official Moving in to our new house

Hello readers! Sharing our food that we had weeks ago in JB before we prepare for our official move in to our new house!

All i can say is, i am very impressed with myself for being able to source all the furniture together wit Jeremy, before coordinating all the delivery after the renovation was completed to make it in time for our official move in date, which was 6 Jul 19.
This date happen to be my birthday and also an auspicious date for us to move in after we have checked.

I am fortunate because i have my mum to help me out during this period, when Jeremy is too busy to take leave etc. So she help me to purchase all the items for moving in as well.

We had the tang yuan after we officially open the door to your new house!

Before i show the final look of our new house, sharing with you guys some of the facilities around my house!
Generally all EC comes with the same facilities as condo, but for this project, they have the indoor badminton court, which can be converted into function room for parties.

This is the other smaller function room.
 The outdoor exercise corner
 Futsal court
 Kids pool
The swimming pool, i love the waterfall sound!

Our unit nearby has two bbq pits and the other one is located at the other block.

So, for first timers having your own home, you might overlook some issues so here are some pointers i am sharing.

First, you will need to apply a utility account and activate the electricity & water before your renovation starts or defect check start.

For us, during our first day of collection keys, i have arranged the turn on of electricity water to be on the same day.

After the defect check stage is completed, usually you will start in discussion with your ID/Contractor on the design of your house. Once the design has been finalised, renovation will start and usually this duration will takes about 3 weeks.

Once you have finalised your designs, you can start to look for your furniture, electrical appliances.
In Singapore, there are several giant retailers such as Gain City, Harvey Norman, Courts etc, before that we have try to compare prices but eventually we got our electrical appliances from Audio House.
Don't get it wrong, Audio House does not sell just speakers ok. Haha it sells all soft of electrical appliances ranging from TV, Washer, Fridge to small electrical appliances.

We place an order long time ago to secure the lock in price because they always have on-going promotions. We bought our LG 55 inch TV, Hitachi Fridge & LG Twin washer with them.

We bought our xiaomi rice cooker and kettle via ezbuy. I wanted matching electrical appliances in our kitchen. Haha

Another thing that we spend was on the laundry system. About 2 years back, when we was having our honeymoon in Japan, we stay in an airbnb and i was surprised the bathroom has the heater function so we washed our clothes and we turn on the heater function so i thought it was a good invention if we could have something like this back in Singapore. So during my research, i read up about steigen laundry system. One of the models have this heater function that could allow you to on it after you hang your laundry so our laundry was able to dry without leaving any bad odor, even though my LG washer has got the dryer function but i never use that to save on the water and electrical cost. They have the showroom to explain more on their product but i already fall in love with this solar ultra model, somemore in space grey that match my house theme color. Haha

To me,this is a worthy investment and must have in everyone's home!
You no longer have to worry if its rain or shine because your laundry will not be affected. They have the hot wind and cool wind function for this model. Beside that, they also have the ioniser cleanser and dust mite repeller function that prevent musty odors and they have the light function to, which i dont usually use since my kitchen light is bright enough.. But this is one of my most proud item to have in our new home!

For our mattress, we decided to purchase Sealy mattress because Sealy mattress is pretty well known brand and also it is commonly used in many 4-5 star hotels. However Sealy mattress is pricey if you buy in Singapore, so we went in JB to check the price and it was cheaper so we purchase in JB instead of in Singapore.
The staff has contact so she was able to help us arrange for delivery because JB Sealy does not include free delivery for mattress. It was $2.6k after including all the tax and delivery.

Comes with free sealy pillow and 2 mattress protectors!
We call this a divan bed, as we have the carpentry work for bed board so we only need the divan bed with storage to store our luggage and some other misc stuffs. We bought this together with our sofa in JB as well.
For our wifi connection, we decided to go with ViewQuest as they have been identified as Singapore fastest fixed network.

For now, we don't have any dining table yet as we don't think we need it urgently since we probably dine using our coffee table.
Sharing some photos of our house first.

Product/Items purchased from vendors in this post as shown below:

Wifi Connection - ViewQuest
Sealy - JB Sealy mattress
Sofa & bedframe - JB Rustica
Xiaomi rice cooker/kettle - Ezbuy
Laundry system - Steigen Laundry system
